DECOR

Picture
  • Any child-related room decor is great to sell.
  • Carefully prepare fragile items - keep them both safe and visible.
  • Use caution when applying tape to decor since it may damage the item.
  • Bag or wrap items you don't want to get dirty (area rugs, play mats, etc.). Because of their size, they are easily trampled.  If it is wrapped, it won't get dirty.
  • Use your own discretion when bringing expensive or breakable items. We are not responsible if they break or are damaged.

ELECTRONIC  ENTERTAINMENT
(CDs, DVDs, Computer and Video Games)

  • Items must be in original case.
  • Tape tag to front or back of case.
  • Do not bring DVDs or CDs that have scratches which inhibit complete play.
  • We will not accept R-rated movies or M-rated games. Additionally, we will no longer accept VHS tapes.

ELECTRONIC  GAMES

EQUIPMENT

Consignors must check all items for recalls using the Recalled Product Search.
  • High chairs, bouncy seats, pack-n-plays, walkers, etc. should be CLEAN. Items that look dirty, have stains are discolored, or look out of date or unsafe will not be accepted.
  • Pack-n-plays and other large equipment will be set up by the consignor on the sales floor.
  • If an item has a fabric seat, pin the tag to the fabric area.
  • The more secure you can make the tag, the safer it will be.
  • Be very specific in descriptions, especially on large, more expensive items. This helps verify the tag to the item at checkout.

TIP: If you have the manual, include it in a Ziploc and secure to the item.

FORMULA / BABY FOOD

  • All formula and baby food must be in new packaging, sealed by the manufacturer and in date.
  • Do not bring items that are expired or expiring in the month of the sale.

Breast pumps and other nursing equipment should be completely disinfected and washed before bringing.

TIP: Print a picture of your item and attach to the outside if it is stored in a big black bag.

PUZZLES

Boxed Puzzles: Tape the tag on the front or back of the box. Securely tape the box closed so that it cannot be opened.

Open or Wooden Puzzles: Saran wrap the puzzle, then tape it closed. This secures the pieces and still allows customers to see the item without ruining any part of it.

TIP: Count your pieces!  DO NOT BRING PUZZLES THAT ARE MISSING PIECES!

STUFFED ANIMALS

  • Limit plush toys to those that have a special talent - they must "do something" like sing, dance, make noise, etc.
  • Build-A-Bears that are wearing clothing are also acceptable.
  • No other stuffed animals will not be accepted.
  • Pin the tag to the animal - tape will not stick over time.

TOYS

Like all other items, consignors must check all toys for recalls using the RECALLED PRODUCT SEARCH.
  • Battery-operated toys MUST be working and have batteries in them.
  • Toys need to be extra securely packaged. While we remind parents not to allow their children to play with the toys, we ask you to prepare for them to be handled. As toys get moved during the set-up and shopping process, any loose pieces can easily be lost.
  • Group small toys in Ziploc bags and secure bag with tape or staples.
  • Batteries and chargers MUST be included in all power toys like Jeeps, Cars and ATVs. Toys should be fully charged at drop-off. Secure chargers overly well with packing tape, zip ties, baggies, etc.

Make sure your items stay intact.  Wrap clear tape around the tag and a full section of the toy to keep it secure. If the tag gets lost, we can't sell the item...and you can't earn the cash!

TIP: Clear, high-quality packing tape is recommended.  Cheap tape leaves residue and masking tape is not as sticky.
