Drop-Off
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to make a drop-off appointment?
No. Simply show up at a time that works for you during our regularly scheduled drop-off hours.
Will someone be available to help unload?
Yes. Depending on how many volunteers are available, we are able to help unload bins into the lobby.
What if I have an item that needs to be assembled?
Simply bring the tools you will need and come into the gym to assemble. It is also helpful to bring a printed copy of assembly instructions for more difficult items.
What do I do if everything doesn’t fit in my car in one trip? Or if I find that I forgot to drop something off?
Make multiple trips! You’re welcome to come through the drop-off line as many times as you need. Just let the volunteers on duty know that you’ve already check-in on your first visit so you can skip the paperwork!
Do I have to sort all of my non-clothing items by category?
No, but we’d love it if you did! The better organized your items are, the faster our volunteers will be able to process it all. For example, one tub might hold all your shoes; you might choose to put your girls’ shoes in a shopping bag inside your tote and your boys’ shoes in another bag. We’ll never complain about anything extra you do to help us move faster!
Do my clothes need to be on hangers?
Absolutely. Prepare your items with tags on them, then simply lay them in neat stacks - you can hang them on a rack as soon as you arrive.
Does this mean you’ll apply the tags to my items?
No. Prepare/tag your items at home. Items must be tagged, sorted and ready when you arrive for drop off. If you have questions about tagging items, please review the tagging tips and contact us with any further questions. Tagging Tips
Do my items still need to be sorted by size/gender?
Yes. Please be sure to load your tubs or stacks by gender/size. It's not necessary to have a separate tub for each size, but your items should be according to size/gender within tubs so that our volunteers pull items out in order.
Where will drop-off take place?
Consignors will pull up to the main entrance of the gym, which is on the rear side of the building near the overhang. We will be unloading drop-off items under the overhang at the main gym doors. Please form a single-file line to the right along the sidewalk and pull up as other cars unload and pull away. Please leave the left lane area open for consignors to pull out and leave as they finish unloading.
How will I sign my paperwork and get my consignor/volunteer passes?
After you have unloaded, come inside and complete your paperwork. There you will receive your early shopping passes.
Do I need to wait for my items to be inspected?
Yes please. You may go ahead and start putting out all your non-clothing items while a volunteer on duty inspects your clothing items. When they are finished, you may use the rolling rack to put out your clothing items onto the large racks. Any items we do not accept for the sale will remain in your tubs and will be available for you at pick-up.
What happens if my items are not prepared properly?
If our volunteers find that your items have not been prepared for the sale, your items will not be put onto the sales floor. Additionally, no wire hangers will be accepted! If we think there’s been a misunderstanding or mistake, we will make every effort to contact you for the chance to sort it out before the sale starts.
